Sources have reported that Senator John McCain has contacted Senator Barack Obama by telephone to congratulate the new President-Elect.
Senator McCain, having lost the Presidential vote in Virginia, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Pennsylvania has decided avoid recounting the votes and instead has conceded to President-Elect Barack Obama.
While informing his campaign rally in Phoenix, Arizona, the assembled crowd audibly booed Senator John McCain when he informed the crowd of his telephone concession to President-Elect Barack Obama. It is unclear whether the crowd was booing McCain himself for conceding, or Barack Obama for having won the Presidency of the United States of America.
On stage in Phoenix, Gov. Sarah Palin was clearly crying while Senator John McCain gave his concession speech.
